YOGA PROGRAM STEPS UP…
We are bringing in a ringer!

Two of our local standout instructors will teach classes and we are proud to have regional yoga guru Anna Pittman on hand to teach the yoga clinic on Saturday.  Anna will be making the trip from Blacksburg, VA to bring her amazing expertise to the Rendezvous.

FRIDAY EVENING: 5:30 with Kara Ware

Kara Ware is a certified yoga teacher from the Asheville Yoga Center.
She has taken additonal workshops with Todd Norian and with Angela Farmer this fall.
She is currently studing with Anna Pittman and is registering for Anna’s Huntingon, WV 200 hour teacher training.  Kara just opened Fayetteville’s first yoga studio Kula Yoga Studio with partner Sue Plumley.  (http://wvkula.com) Kula, which is sanskrit for Community is located on the third floor above Marathon Bikes.

It is the times when she is on the mat, that she receives the guidance how to help her two boys be healthy and strong and how she can best serve her community.  Pranayama and meditation have been the greatest teachers in her life recently. Teaching her how to be still and strengthen her communication with the divine.

SATURDAY YOGA CLINIC:  10:30-1:30 with Anna

Anna Pittman has dedicated her adult life to understanding both the function and mystery of the body/mind complex. She began her career as a modern dancer studying the Limon style of modern from a practicing Zen teacher who used improvisational work as a means to access the sub-conscious. At the same time, from 1984 – 1990 Anna studied Hatha and Raja Yoga with Carla Sgroi of the European Yoga Alliance in Milan, Italy as well as the Feldenkreis method of movement.
Anna continued her inquiry into her own life through extensive self-study while acquiring certifications in Hatha Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Shiatsu bodywork and Massage. She is recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a certified advanced teacher of Hatha Yoga and has been certified for six years in Barratt Breathwork. She is program director and facilitator for a Yoga Alliance registered, 200 hour, Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and Self-Study Program that she has created and now offers annually in both Blacksburg and Norfolk, Virginia.
Anna has acquired more than 15 years experience working with clients and groups and she continues to study with her teachers in the area of Meditation, Yoga, Dreams, and the pursuit of greater awareness from Life It-Self.
